Charanga Habanera

Few orchestras achieved, since its first performances, success. This is the case of the group, David Calzado y su Charanga Habanera which was established in 1988.

In 1998 achieved the award of the most popular band of the year. They had kept four themes until 2001 in the first places of the Cuban Radio and Television. It has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards 2003. In 2005 they were nominated in three categories Latino proudly best video, best album, best Band. They annually receive awards in the Cubadisco Awards, “Lucas”.

  1. 1998 Premio de la orquesta más popular del año. Manteniendo cuatro temas durante el periodo 98-99 en los primeros lugares de la Radio y la Televisión. En 1999, 2000 y 2001 vuelve a obtener el mismo resultado
  2. Ha sido nominada a los premios Grammy Latinos en el año 2003 con el disco “LIVE IN THE USA”.
  3. EN 2005 nominados en ORGULLOSAMENTE LATINO en tres categorías mejor video, mejor álbum, mejor grupo.
  4. Cubadiscos y Lucas son muchos de los premios recibidos anualmente por el grupo.
