Composer , writer , arranger , pianist and director Cesar de las Mercedes Pedroso Fernández ( Pupy ) comes from a family of musicians.

He founded with Juan Formell Los Van Van, in which he was a pianist, arranger and composer for 32 years, with which he won the 1999 Grammy with the CD ” Permiso que llegó Van Van “; until in 2001 he created his group PUPY Y LOS QUE SON SON with which he has received several awards; as well as gold and platinum discs for their albums.
